Measure Your Heart Risk with Advanced Blood Tests
Your heart health is the cornerstone of your overall well-being. Move beyond basic cholesterol tests and gain a deep, comprehensive understanding of your cardiovascular risk with our expertly designed heart screen packages. Early and advanced detection is key to a long, healthy life.
Why a Standard Lipid Profile Isn’t Enough
For years, a standard cholesterol test was the primary tool for assessing heart health. However, modern cardiology recognizes that a significant number of heart events occur in people with normal cholesterol levels. True risk assessment requires looking deeper at factors like **inflammation**, **plaque stability**, and **genetic markers**. Our panels are designed to give you this complete picture.
Choose Your Level of Heart Health Insight
We offer a range of profiles, from essential risk screening to a deep dive into cardiac biomarkers.
Heart Screen Basic
An essential starting point for proactive heart health. This panel includes a complete lipid profile plus key cardiac inflammation (HS-CRP) and risk markers (Lp(a), Apo B/A1), and a sensitive heart attack risk test (Troponin I).
Heart Screen Advanced
This advanced profile provides broader health context by adding a diabetic profile (HbA1c), a complete kidney profile, and a full hemogram to the basic heart panel, assessing key related risk factors.
Heart Screen Comprehensive
The definitive cardiovascular investigation. This panel includes all advanced tests plus cutting-edge markers for cardiac plaque (LP-PLA2), heart muscle enzymes (CPK), Homocysteine, and the advanced biomarker NT-proBNP.
Decoding Your Heart Report: Key Advanced Markers Explained
Understanding these advanced tests is the first step to truly owning your cardiovascular health.
**HS-CRP** is a crucial marker that measures the level of general inflammation in your body. Chronic, low-grade inflammation is a key driver of atherosclerosis (the hardening and narrowing of arteries). An elevated HS-CRP level can indicate an increased risk of a future heart attack, even in individuals with normal cholesterol levels.
This goes deeper than just HDL and LDL. **Apolipoprotein B (Apo B)** gives a direct count of all “bad” cholesterol particles. **Lipoprotein (a) or Lp(a)** is a largely genetic risk factor that can increase clotting and atherosclerosis. The ratio of **Apo B to Apo A1** (the main protein in “good” cholesterol) is considered by many experts to be a more accurate predictor of heart disease risk than standard cholesterol ratios.
Included in our Comprehensive panel, these tests assess active disease processes. **LP-PLA2** is an enzyme marker specific to vascular inflammation, indicating how “active” or “unstable” the plaque in your arteries might be. **Creatine Phosphokinase (CPK)** is an enzyme that can indicate muscle damage, including to the heart muscle.
**High-Sensitivity Troponin I** is a very sensitive marker that can detect minor heart muscle injury even before symptoms appear. **NT-proBNP** is a hormone released by the heart when it is under stress or strain. Elevated levels can be an early indicator of heart failure, helping doctors intervene much sooner.
Add an ECG to Your Profile
Complete Your Assessment with an ECG
An Electrocardiogram (ECG) records the electrical signals of your heart and is a fundamental tool for detecting arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythms) and other cardiac issues. You can add an ECG to any of our Heart Screen profiles.
